Counties & Cities

To date (January 18, 2012), 18 local governments—17 county commissions and 1 city council—have voted to endorse resolutions in support of the Tennessee Recycling Refunds Act (or its equivalent in earlier legislative sessions). Only one local government has failed to support this measure (Greene County), and only after heavy opposition lobbying.

We'd like to get endorsements from all 95 counties and many more cities, and for that we need local citizens to get the ball rolling. (It's not at all difficult; one phone call should do it, and we'll give you all the information you need.)
